AIR FILTRATION

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has estimated that indoor air quality is on the order of 5 to 10 times more polluted than outdoor air. Building Solutions offers a number of options to both filter indoor air and bring fresh air into your living space.
When a ducted air system is present, a high efficiency filter can be placed in line with your furnace to filter air before it is distributed throughout your home. Filters with a MERV rating of 10 or higher equate to an efficiency of removing particles over 3 microns at 85% or greater in worst case scenarios.
Additionally, a heat or energy recovery ventilator (HRV/ERV) can be installed as either a stand alone unit or in parallel with a duct system to bring in fresh air while maintaining conditioned air.
