ERV

Erv2
Energy recovery ventilators (ERV) employ a counter-flow heat exchanger between the inbound and outbound air flow. ERV can provide fresh air and improve climate control, while simulataneously saving energy by reducing the heating and cooling requirements.
ERVs replaces inside air with outside air, recovering the heat energy in the exhaust air and transferring it back to the fresh air as it enters the building. The process is the equivalent of opening the window for fresh air without losing the heat.
ERVs are closely related to Heat recovery ventilators (HRVs), however ERVs also transfer the humidity level of the exhaust air to the intake air.
